Big Brawlin' Bull Trout

Steve Luethi and Josh Nugent spent a day hunting for those elusive giant bulls! Steve connected on this brute. What an impressive specimen! Thank goodness there was a buddy to capture the fabulous moment! Wow!

Great Day at a Central Alberta Pot Hole Lake

There has been a lot of controversy and frustration over the aerators that were not turned on this past winter. Legal concerns were the main culprit that caused several of our lakes to have the aerators turned off or a modified system installed that did not do the job! This resulted in winter kill or partial winter kill!

The good news is that not all of our central Alberta lakes lost their fish! Darren and Larry went out to check out one of our lakes. They spent the day trying to catch the "slam!" A rainbow, a brookie and a brown! The guys did indeed accomplish the feat!

Micro leeches and chironomids gave them lots of success! Way to go guys!

Betty and Steve Tangle with Lahontans

Betty and Steve decided to take a crack at lahontan fly fishing in Washington State! Betty figured that they were just at the tail end of the lahontans cruising the lake shore. The three days that they spent chasing these beautifully coloured cutthroat were perfect and warm.

It is sometimes tough to tackle a new lake with a unique situation. Betty and Steve quickly figured out how to tangle with the lahontans. They caught lots including several in the 24 inch category and couple even larger!

As you can see, "it was sunny days!"

Way to go Betty and Steve! I bet you will be back!

...me too!
