Annual All Day Fly Tying Workshop With Phil Rowley-Dry Flies for Stillwaters

That was a tremendous day. It is a day our entire group looks forward to! 30 Fly fishers filled the room to learn from one of the best. This was Phil's 11th trip to Central Alberta to spend a great day of fly tying with our club! Not just that but Phil did not even bring a snowstorm with him. Pub Night was a blast. Close to 20 members of our gang came out to Mohave Grill. That was an enjoyable evening!

Our all day fly tying day focussed on dry flies for stillwaters. I have added several slides from Phil's Power Point Presentation.

We owe Phil a big thank you for coming down to Red Deer. He has a crazy schedule and he always is able to put aside time for us!

Remember that there is a fly tying session on Monday February 3. We are heading to Great Bear Lake with a great slide show and some video! We will then be tying balanced flies for the rest of the evening! See you at West River Fly Shop!

Also remember to get your IF4 Fly Fishing Film Festival tickets for February 27th at Carnival Theatre starting at 7 pm. There are links on the blog to get tickets on line or drop by Troy's shop!
