My neighbour Colin and I headed out today to a local pot hole lake. The lake had been recently stocked and the trout in the lake wintered well. The trout were dining on forage fish. The pin fry make the trout fat fast! There is a constant supply of forage fish. We did see lots of tiny backswimmers too but the trout were dining on the bigger meals! We fly fished with ice minnows! Awesome afternoon!
