Sometimes fishing is a great reason to spend some quality time with friends. It has been a while since Larry and I went fly fishing. We headed to the tailwater section of the Red Deer River today. We wandered along the river and set up to nymph for whitefish! We used Frenchies, Rainbow Warriors and of course Wiggle Worms. The fishing was steady for the 4 hours we spent on the water! As usual, some split shot made the difference between catching some fish and a lot of fish!
The best part of the day was just hanging out together. Yes, the fly fishing was excellent but spending time with my friend was what really made my time fantastic! Our daily lives sometimes consumes us and we forget to connect with friends. Today was a good reminder!
