Finally, ...Back to Belize

It has been two years. We have been patiently been waiting to get back to the Caribbean to fly fish for bonefish and if we are lucky shake hands with a permit or tarpon. We have been fortunate to have had so many happy days fly fishing on the salt flats. If everything goes well, we should be fly fishing on the flats in a few days. Fingers crossed. All the restrictions that we have been working our way through are slowly easing. We hope for smooth travel and the wind at our back on the sunny flats!

Well it looks like it is going to cost us to launch at Sunbreakers Cove and Sandy Point Beach and then park, sigh!

...also just a reminder that the Red Deer River is now closed to fishing until May 15th.

Fly Tying Proportions for Dry Flies from Skip Morris

My buddy Steve Anderson sent this excellent little reference chart to me that was developed by Skip Morris. It is an excellent guide as you tie up dry flies. Spring is just around the corner!
