I have used Solarez thin formulation for years, but as of late, I have been getting a rash on my face when I use it! This has happened to others as well (not everybody). I talked to Kent Govett at Canadian Llama and several of his contract fly tyers have switched to an Italian resin. It is a clear "flow" resin that is great for chironomids. I really like the applicator brush as well. It does not cure tacky at all. Take a look at this resin at Canadian Llama Company (no I do not work for them) if you are having a similar experience.
