Excellent Start to the Season
Steve sent these images along. The fly fishing in rivers and lakes has been excellent is Central Alberta. Many rivers are quite low and clear at the moment . As you can see, it has been a great start to the fly fishing season for Steve and his buddies! Remember that the RDR is not open yet. Always read the regulations to ensure your favourite river is open!
Thanks for the pictures Steve!

Hector Lake near Exshaw (Canmore)
Hector Lake near Exshaw has been fishing great this year. Yes, you do have to pay a rod fee of $35 but it seems that the quality of the rainbows makes it well worth the trip. Hector Lake seems to be managed quite well at the moment and the fish are big. You have a chance to catch some real monster rainbows in this lake!
