Adams Family on Zoom on Monday March 22nd at 7 pm

The late Bob Scammell had a fantastic "outdoor" column in the Red Deer Advocate for close to 40 plus years until he passed away. Bob was a big advocate for public land being for all. Bob was an avid fly fisherman. Here is a brief excerpt from one of his columns.

On Monday March 22nd at 7 pm, we will be tying the three main adams dry flies: Parachute Adams, Adams and Bastard Adams. The materials you will need are listed below.

Bastard Adams

Hook: size 12-16 standard dry fly hook ( I am using a TMC100-size14)
Thread: UTC 8/0 (120 denier) black or grey
Tail: Brown and grizzly hackle fibres or ginger
Body: Grey Antron dubbing
Wing: Polyproprolene or macrame, white
Hackle: Brown/grizzly or ginger


Adams
