Know the Regulations Before YOU go!

...from My Wild Alberta! Just a reminder!

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: It is up to every angler to know the sportfishing regulations of the waterbodies they plan to fish. That includes waterbody closures, fish consumption advisories, and Time of Day (TOD) angling restrictions.

Due to low water levels and high water temperatures in Southern Alberta rivers, TOD angling restrictions are currently in effect. Angling is not permitted from 2:00 PM to midnight (14:00 to 24:00) in:

all rivers and streams (flowing waters) in fisheries management zone ES1, including the Bow River downstream of Banff National Park to Bassano Dam (this includes Ghost Reservoir, Bearspaw Reservoir and Bassano Reservoir)

St. Mary's River mainstem (including tributaries) below the St. Mary's Reservoir in fisheries management zone PP1

This restriction will remain in place through August 31.

More information about TOD angling restrictions is available on our website: https://mywildalberta.ca/.../time-of-day-angling...

No matter where you are fishing, be sure to check out the Advisories, Corrections, and Closures webpage before you go! https://mywildalberta.ca/.../advisories.../default.aspx
