I have been spending time at the fly tying vice getting ready for the annual fall trip to the Parkland Region of Manitoba! The brown trout are beautifully coloured this time of the year and they are trying to put on the weight as winter approaches. The trout love to chase minnows and greedily gulp them down. Balanced leech patterns, flashbacks, boatmen, and scuds are great pattern choices for this time of the year!
...back to the vice, I can hardly wait!
