Dr. Bill loves skiing and winter but this week he decided he needed a break from the white stuff. That direct flight by West Jet from Calgary right to Belize City certainly makes it easy to get to Central America. Once in Belize City, you can hop on a puddle jumper like Tropic or Maya Air for the quick 15 minute flight to San Pedro. Of course you can get to other destinations with those local airlines too!
Well Dr. Bill is combining DIU fly fishing with 3 guide days. Bill got himself a bicycle and pedalled with map in hand to some areas to look for bonefish. He was quite successful too. His first guide day was fantastic. Lots of bonefish and several shots at permit!
My mouth is watering. Just 4 weeks until a group of us head to the same area. Back to the vice to tie flies for bones, permit and tarpon!
