The Arctic is Calling

Karen and I love the arctic. It is a special place to fly fish. The possibilities are endless. It is so different than any place we fly fish in Alberta. We have been to the arctic twice. The fly fishing was always amazing. Next week, we have an opportunity to enjoy the far north of Canada with 4 great friends. Fly fishing at Great Bear Lake is an amazing experience. Gigantic lake trout and arctic char will be our challenge. If all goes well, a trip to the world famous Tree River is part of our itinerary to fly fish for arctic char. Karen and I had perhaps the best day of fly fishing in our lives at the Tree River, 6 years ago. Going back will indeed be a treat. We will be staying at Plummer's Arctic Lodge at Great Bear Lake. The gang at Plummer's has always treated us like royalty. Yes, the trip is expensive but so worth it!

Covid has delayed this trip 3 years. It is finally our turn to go. There has been a lot of anticipation of this amazing trip. We are so excited.
