Touy and his wife decided that a a vacation in San Pedro in Belize was in order. Touy also wanted to get out to do some permit and bonefish fly fishing with my buddy Hilian Martinez. Hilian is a top notch guide and as Touy found out, he will give you the chance to catch a permit and of of course bonefish! Well on Touy's very first day out with Hilian, he had 8-10 shots at permit. He hooked up and landed a beauty too! Touy also had lots of fun chasing bonefish as well. Touy was quite enthusiastic about his first day fly fishing around Ambergris Caye. I am pretty sure he was celebrating. I hope the two other days he has on the water are amazing!
Happy Family Day Everyone! Remember it is free fishing weekend too. If you like ice fishing there are lots of options and the RDR is still open as is the Bow River. Enjoy!
There is no FLY TYING MONDAY on Family Day. We will resume fly tying the following Monday when Doug Pullan is our guest tyer. Doug has an outstanding program for us that you will not want to miss!
