Another Afternoon Chasing Walleye and a Nice Surprise

Well after the intense weather bomb yesterday, there seemed to be a bit of calm so Karen and I dashed to a spot on the Red Deer River to continue yesterdays pursuit of walleye on the fly! We started just like yesterday, swinging clousers. We had lots of success but when we changed up to fly fishing with ice minnows, the action was excellent! Karen tagged lots of well conditioned walleye. I switched to an ice minnow and did very well. I even caught a very nice brown trout. We were not targeting browns, so we took a quick picture and sent it on its way! The wind started to pick up and the cloud cover closed down on us. It was time to pack up and head home!

...another enjoyable day out on the water!
