Local Lakes Are Still Fishing Great

Trout fly fishing at our local pot hole lakes is still producing excellent results. Trout have been feeding on chironomids, caddis larvae, scuds, caddis adults, daphnia and leeches. Bubba Gump Shrimp has been producing well for several fly fishers as has flashback pheasant tails (stripped) rusty nail chironomids and your favourite leech patterns (Tokaryk Specials) and of course blobs! 

Please be ware that water temperatures are creeping up into the high 60Fs. It is up to your own personal decision when to stop fly fishing lakes because of water temperature. Many lakes are edging up in water temperature.
