Karen and I were out for a walk yesterday morning. As we passed Rotary Park here in Red Deer I saw what I thought was a rise in Piper Creek right at the bridge. I stopped to look. After closer scrutiny, I realized it was spawning suckers. Mt buddy Steve Luethi came by and we took some pictures. It was quite interesting to watch these native Alberta fish spawn. As we were watching, a rather large beat up pike came by heading downstream. It certainly makes me realize that all of the restoration work on Piper Creek is worth the effort!
Most of these neat pictures are courtesy of Steve Luethi!A few are from me!
