Grandkids Rock!

Parent-Teacher Interviews usually mean a day off for school aged kids. Alec and Gavin had a day off just before Thanksgiving for that exact reason. Well, It was a beauty of a day so off we went for a trip to a small pot hole pond. Karen and I have 2 Echo Gekko kids fly rods so I rigged them up with pheasant tail nymphs. Well the boys had a great time connecting with some rainbows. I did help them with the casting and they did the rest themselves. When the boys are fly fishing, I just stay close and coach them. Today they learned how to put the rods together, put on the reels and string up the rods. Hands on with direction is important!

As always, the fly fishing lasts no more than 1 hour. It was time to head home or go for an exploratory walk.

The best HD television for the kids is right outside. We try to limit the screen time too!
