Baby it is COLD Outside and Snowy

Well the early snow is a real pain in the fly rod. Frozen guides, slippery roads, cold hands and being just plain ccccold can easily talk a person out of getting outside to fly fish. Nevertheless my neighbour , Colin, and I bundled up and headed to a local pot hole lake to try and tangle with some rainbows. The water visibility was only 10 inches but we did find some rainbows that wanted to play. We caught several dandy specimens with Glen's Leech and Ice Minnows. We found the rainbows along the edges just 18 to 24 inches below the surface! The biting cold wind made us call it a day after 4 hours. We had an excellent afternoon!

Bundle up and get out there. It is worth it to get outside and fly fish before the LONG winter sets in!
