As the long weekend approaches, you have many options to head out and fly fish. Karen and I have visited Hansen's Reservoir just south of Eckville on 766 south of Hwy 11, Ray's Pond just north of Hwy 11 at Benalto and Mitchell Pond at the bottom of the Heritage Ranch hill in Red Deer. All have catchable trout! If you want to have a picnic with your family, Ray's Pond has picnic tables and a washroom, so does Mitchell Pond at Heritage Ranch. Please respect the COVID-19 Regulations. All three spots are excellent spots to take kids. Just hang a micro leech about 5 feet below a bobber and just wait! Our grandkids use their Super Hero spinning rods and do quite well! Enjoy the beautiful weather! Stay safe!
