The Red Deer River reopens on Saturday May 15th. The tailwater section below the Dickson Dam is a great place to fly fish for walleye, brown trout, pike, whitefish, and goldeye. Please remember to practice catch and release. Be aware and follow the regulations. This is a Catch and Release fishery for walleye and brown trout! Enjoy! Be safe, moving water can be dangerous, especially during run off which is coming soon. I hope the "Dam Man" allows us a few days on the water before he opens the spillway for runoff. Time will tell!
