Rick Miyauchi came up with this great micro leech many years ago although it was Phil Rowley who named it. Rick was fly fishing with Phil at Twin Lakes in the Parkland Region of Manitoba. Everyone in our group at the lake including Rick was fly fishing with this great little fly. Everyone caught fish on it except, ...Rick. Now that's Kismet. Hence the name. Rick likes using this fly in the spring. As the year progresses, Rick will change out the orange bead to a gold one.
Easy fly to tie. You definitely need this micro leech in your lake fly box! It is a winner!
