Tying the Flashback Pheasant Tail

Virtual Fly Tying

Hi Everybody!

If you have fly fished with me, you know I love the Flashback Pheasant Tail. I use it on both rivers and lakes. Trout of all sorts love it! Weighted or unweighted and fished near the surface or fishing it deep, the flashback pheasant tail is a winner. This design is the way I like to tie it. Others prefer the flash to be limited to just the thorax. The beauty of fly construction is adding your own spin on a pattern. You definitely need a variety of these great flies in your fly box.
